recommended procedure
WAXING: 10 gauge sprues, direct spruing O.K.
INVESTING: Any recommended heat investment. Line rings, bench set 1-1 1/2 hrs. Place in cold furnace. Run up to 1600°F 1-1 1/2 hrs.
CASTING: Use high heat crucibles and multi?orifice torch. Oxygen (15 psi) and gas. Heat crucible prior to casting and wind casting machine, 1 - 2 extra turns. Hold torch so center cone of flame is concentrated on metal. Casting range 2350°-2450°F When metal slumps RELEASE, bench cool 10 min. and quench.
PREPARATION: Do not use acid. After case is fitted blast it aluminum oxide compound, OR go over surface with carbide. Place in ultrasonic with rubbing alcohol for 5 min. Wash thoroughly with tap water.
OPAQUE: No degassing or conditioner necessary. Apply opaque wash and bake. Then full opaque coat and bake.
