recommended procedure

WAXING: 10 gauge sprues, direct spruing O.K.

INVESTING: Any recommended heat investment. Line ring, bench set 1-1 1/2 hrs. Place in cold furnace. Run up to 1600°F 1-1 1/2 hrs.

CASTING: Use high heat crucibles and multi orifice torch. Oxygen (15 psi) and gas. Hold torch so center cone of flame is concentrated on metal. Casting range 2350°-2450°F. When metal slumps RELEASE, bench cool 10 min. and quench.

PREPARATION: Do not use acid. After case is fitted blast it aluminum oxide compound, OR go over surface with carbide. Place in ultrasonic with rubbing alcohol for 5 min. Wash thoroughly with tap water.

OPAQUE: No degassing or conditioner necessary. Apply opaque wash and bake. Then full opaque coat and bake.

Nickel 74-76% Chromium 12-14%
Molybdenum 4-6 % and Beryllium 1.7%

CAUTION: Persons with known nickel sensitivity should avoid using this alloy. Dust can be toxic. Grind and polish in well-ventilated area.
